Full Itinerary

9 Days | 8 Nights

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Selous:

After breakfast, drive by 4WD to the Selous Game Reserve (approx 6 hours to Mtemere gate). Picnic lunch en route to the Selous. Arrive late afternoon at Rufiji River Camp located on a high bank overlooking the mighty Rufiji River and floodplain beyond. Afternoon boating safari on the river with Africa’s highest concentration of hippos. Dinner and overnight at the Rufiji River Camp.

After breakfast, a morning game drive in the Selous, Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary, with an area of 54,600 km.Lunch at Rufiji River Camp. Afternoon games drive in the Selous with the world’s largest number of big game – elephant, buffalo, rhino, hippos, giraffes, and wildebeest.  Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

After breakfast, go on a morning walking safari with intimate impressions of the rich wildlife in the African bush. Lunch at Rufiji River Camp. Afternoon boating safari in the Great Rufiji River. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp. 

After breakfast, a scenic drive through the Uluguru Mountains to Mikumi (approx 7 hours).
Picnic lunch en route to Mikumi. Late afternoon arrival. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Camp or Mikumi Wildlife Camp.

After breakfast, morning game drive in Mikumi. Lunch at Vuma Hill Camp or Mikumi Wildlife Camp. Afternoon games drive in Mikumi. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill Camp or Mikumi Wildlife Camp.

After breakfast, drive through the southern highlands to Ruaha National Park (approx 6 hours). With stop-in. Lunch in Iringa Town en route to Ruaha. Afternoon game drive in Ruaha National Park. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

After breakfast, morning games drive in Ruaha National Park. Lunch at Ruaha River Lodge. Afternoon games drive in Ruaha National Park. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

After breakfast, morning game drive in Ruaha National Park. Lunch at Ruaha River Lodge. Afternoon games drive in Ruaha National Park. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

After breakfast, drive to Mikumi National Park. Lunch at Vuma Hill Camp or Mikumi Wildlife Camp. Depart Mikumi for Dar es Salaam arriving in the evening. (Note: You May Choose to Fly-Out of Ruaha by a Daily Scheduling Morning Flight (11.45 am) to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam by Request).  All Meals Included. End of Trip.
